Admissions & Administration Coordinator (AIBC)

Reporting to the Director – Registration & Licensing and Manager of Finance & Administration, the Admissions & Administration Co-ordinator is responsible for duties as assigned, to include, but not be confined to:
- Deliver/administer admissions policy/procedures for self-governing profession;
- Implement, monitor, interpret policies/procedures for assessment/admission;
- Respond to inquiries from the public about registration/licensing with the AIBC, including the BEFA/Alternative Qualifications process and requirements;
- Interpret and apply policies & procedures for the BEFA/Alternative Qualifications Process;
- Provide assistance to applicants in outcomes-based standards, protocols, and procedures;
- Help design, develop, test outcomes-based assessment tools, methods, processes/procedures;
- Assist foreign trained professionals through assessment for registration & licensing;
- Provide administrative functions in support of Broadly Experienced Foreign Architects (BEFA) and Alternative Qualifications Applicants;
- Know and understand the IT Database and specialized online application and assessment tool, their function, application and further development;
- Assist BEFA Applicants in filling out application forms, documentation, online submissions, and process payments;
- Liaise, work with and support the assessors;
- Schedule assessment interviews for candidates;
- Administer finance and administration policies/procedures/practices.
Qualifications
- University education in a professional designation program;
- Knowledge and understanding of outcomes based assessment & psychometric classifications (Blooms taxonomy of learning outcomes);
- Work experience in foreign countries;
- Demonstrated ability to understand and deal with cultural and language differences/needs from variety of ethnic/cultural/linguistic backgrounds;
- Understanding of routes to professional qualification/recognition;
- Demonstrated critical reasoning & analysis skills;
- Cultural & political awareness & sensitivity;
- Empathy & understanding;
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite;
- Excellent writing and keyboarding skills;
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
