Led by principals Jackson Low, Paul Hammond, and Christopher Rowe, the firm has a diverse and international staff of 24, including registered architects, intern architects, architectural technologists, designers, and support staff.

Job Description: Low Hammond Rowe Architects is seeking a talented and experienced project architect to help design and manage a range of interesting projects, including non-market housing, libraries, and K-12 and post-secondary education facilities.

Candidates should have direct experience with completed projects in all phases of development, from concept generation through municipal approvals to expert technical resolution of construction documents. Ideal applicants will be creative, self-motivated, organized, and eager to collaborate with everyone from principals to junior staff in our flat organization.

Qualifications
• Licensed architect with the Architectural Institute of British Columbia or able to be registered through reciprocity;
• Skilled visual communicator, with demonstrated proficiency with digital tools, including 3D design with Sketchup and BIM with Revit or Vectorworks.
• Fluent in written and spoken English;
• Possess a portfolio of design work that demonstrates experience, aptitude and excellence in visual and spatial thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills, graphic communication and architectural representation.

Role and responsibilities
• work collaboratively with the principals and associates on the integrated design and production of multiple projects from the earliest stages, including concept design, design development, technical approach and constructability, construction documents, conformance to codes and bylaws and field review.
• assist with the development of the BIM and drawings at all stages of project development;
• ensure that projects meet regulatory and aesthetic standards, and manage project quality with regular design and technical review of others’ work;
• share responsibility for meeting client goals and achieving successful project completion;
• supervise and mentor junior staff.
