The Position
The ideal Intermediate Architect is well-rounded, but particularly enjoys front-end design and managing projects through the rezoning and development permit phases continuing on through to the completion of construction.
Your Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Architectural degree from an accredited program.
- 5-10 years’ experience with an emphasis on larger projects.
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD and Sketch-up.
- Revit proficiency an asset but not mandatory.
- Experience in all phases of design with the ability to see a project through from schematic design through to working drawings and completion of construction.
- Strong understanding of building technology with a thorough understanding of construction detailing of both wood and concrete construction.
- Self-directed with the ability to both work in, and potentially lead, project teams, achieving project goals within budgets.
- Familiarity with dealing with consultants, contractors and authorities having jurisdiction.
- Understanding of BC Building Code and local by-laws.
Architect candidates must be registered with the AIBC or eligible for registration in the province of British Columbia
