Our current local project list includes post-secondary projects, religious projects, modular projects, sports facilities, heritage renewal and seismic upgrades, feasibility studies, multi-family affordable housing, and others. We view all projects through a lens of sustainability, with low energy Passive House design key to our process.
Job Description: We are looking for a talented and experienced architect or intern architect to join our team in Vancouver. The position offers an opportunity to be part of a wide range of project scales and typologies, from very large scale institutional to small scale crafted tenant improvements, with potential to play a lead role throughout.
This is a design position where you will be responsible for developing schematic and developed design drawings, digital and physical models, presentations and proposals, and preparing construction contract documents in an inclusive team environment, with sustainability promoted throughout. Our project methodolgy is highly collaborative and digital; experience with Revit and BIM360 is a key requirement for this role.
A collaborative and inquisitive personality is required, along with a strong design and technical portfolio with knowledge and experience in construction principles and building types. In addition to Revit, knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp and rendering software, as well as Adobe software and MS Office, is highly beneficial, as is proven experience in construction administration. Site experience is required.
An interest or experience in Passive House and low carbon design is welcomed and training in these principles as well as the opportunity to obtain certification as a Passive House designer, will be offered.
Must be registered with the AIBC or eligible to be registered in the province of British Columbia.
Opportunities to be involved in team coordination, project and practice management, and business development are also available. Architects or intern architects registered with the AIBC are preferred.
